Asus Z10PE-D8 WS - 2x XEON 2680v3 - Clover - El Capitan - System lags/hangs

Hello all together..

my system is working well with El Capitan, except for LAN and sound, but when I start a non Apple program, like Ableton Live or Bitwig Studio, the complete OS X system extremely lags/hangs, so that it is fully unusable.. :confused:

Can anyone help me please?

Otherwise I will try tuesday only one XEON 2680v3 CPU with Gigabyte GA-X99M-Gaming 5, ASRock Fatal1ty X99M Killer or ASUS X99-M WS.

Asus Z10PE-D8 ES
2x XEON 2680v3 (BIOS: 2x 8-Core)
8x 4GB ECC RDIMM
Asus GT740
OS X 10.11.1 (without patched Kernel)
Only Clover and only with FakeSMC.kext
 
I don't have this board, but I have the previous one to it. Could you give some further details about your setup. Version of Clover, kexts your using, etc? Also, I know that this board has had issues with both CPU's loaded. Before you use the non apple programs, do you have a stable system with both CPU's?

I tried followings kexts, but the system is working only with FakeSMC.kext:

  • AHCI_3rdParty_SATA
  • AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA
  • AppleACPIPlatform
  • AppleIntelE1000e
  • FakeSMC
  • GenericUSBXHCI
  • IOPCIFamily
  • NullCPUPowerManagement

With "nv_disable=1" the system lags/hangs only a little, but the screen is not smooth..

I wanted to enable "Intel(R) I/OAT", because I read your tip, but the parameter is missing in the Z10PE-D8 WS BIOS.. :(

Edit: Yes, the system is stable..
 
So, it's likely that you don't have internet and are having issues with your GPU. The best thing that can be done right now is using DSDT edits to help this board. Sadly, I'm not really the guy to help you with it. You might try googling around to see if you can find that board in use somewhere else as well. I know it's been a tough road for this board.

Z10PE-D8 WS
2x E5-2630v3
Zotac Titan X
64GB ECC

... and using boot args below can't even boot to the mac install of El Capitan (it hangs on PCI configuration) ...

dart=0 -x -v nv_disable=1 PCIRoot=0 PCIRootUID=1 UseKernelCache=No npci=02000

I followed main guide from this page on El Capitan, UniBeast 6.1.1. I tried many bios combinations including disabled SMC, HT with various boot flags gathered from internet,...

So far I never passed the PCI config phase...

Can you please share your boot flags and what you disabled in BIOS for those? What are the kexts you are using? Anything that brings me forwards is welcome...
