Hello! My pc=7960x+ Asus r6a +6900 XT, BIOS 3404 replaced with Apple icon, BIOS set as guide except above 4g disabled. I have trouble installing 11.4 with your Asus X299 base EFI. I had replaced cputscsync to tscadjustreset, and fill the SMBIOS, but it always stuck at ’pci configuration begin’, even if add’ncpi=0x2000. When I enabled above 4g, stuck at “APFS module start”.
Make sure these BIOS Settings are configured
  • MSR Lock Control - Disabled
  • Above 4G Encoding - Enabled
  • Resizable Bar Support - Disabled
  • Launch CSM - Disabled
Couple questions:
  • Are you trying to do a clean install of 11.4 or upgrading?
  • Can you upload your EFI without SMBIOS info?

My BIOS Settings are configured. I am trying to do a clean install. I added two patch in config(acpi-patch,“rename ec0-ec、rename hec-ec”,Then it stuck at second installation,“ioplatformpanicaction:AppleSMC. My SSD is Intel 545s,EFI later. I am not home now.

Hello, how would you judge your X299-A II? I've the first model and it served me well, now I could swap it for the new one like yours for like 50€ or less. Is it good? have you mapped your USBs? Issues?

I guess if you have the first model it wouldn't be much of an upgrade but I really love mine. ;)

For me it works flawlessly and I have no issues with the USB ports or mapping them - the quanitity of ports and layout of the board mean it falls within the 15 port limit even with all external and some of the internal ones mapped for my NZXT Kraken and my USB header from BT/Wifi card. Nice and simple.

I think its a decent refresh board with its only major omission being there's no native built in TB3 but I have no need for that - its other features like 3 NVME slots, 2 of which are directly on CPU lanes that I really like. Also the BIOS seems very comprehensive and easy to navigate and use.

No complaints here!

Its an older EFI but you can see the setup on my post in the Big Sur thread. Here

I have a question. OC 0.7.1support macOS 12 and Win 11 now. But, if you wanna install Win11, you need turn on the TPM. While it is advised to turn off at osx?

Read the Acidanthera July update regarding Windows 11. There should be an updated guide for this later
