Hi all,

My HackBook's had backlight control working ever since I installed OS X on here about a year ago, and now it's not working as I've upgraded from Yosemite > El Capitan 10.11.1 Public Beta.

I have ACPIBacklight installed and in S/L/E and in kextcache, and I've had the correct DSDT patch also (RehabMan's Laptop Repo > Brightness Fix (HD3000/4000) ), and it still doesn't work...

Any ideas guys?

Cheers!

Also...

http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...-new-brightness-kext-intelbacklight-kext.html

It will work either way with the new IntelBacklight.kext or the current version of ACPIBacklight.kext with an up-to-date DSDT patch.

Brightness control has been fixed! Thanks!

Another quick question though, how to get fine-grained backlight control by using Command+Shift+option? (I think that's the right combo of keystrokes)

Just Shift+Option+brightness keys.
