@jmgnjetable, Sorry I didn't notice your previous message, yup our laptop has soldered wifi card on that additional, maybe with some electronic skill some one would be able to unsolder old one, find compatible model and solder it into it, but it is far beside my capabilities 
I am also using usb edimax card, which sucks, it even doesn't support 5GHz wifi.
My workaround to the black screen boot is not turning of the laptop XD Most of the time I just sleep it.
The only thing that annoys me now is the touchpad, but I am afraid we can do nothing about it
