1. For working Audio use Multibeast: ALC8xxHDA, AppleHDA Rollback and Non-DSDT HDAEnabler ALC889.
2. For working USB 3.0 use Multibeast: USB 3.0 Nec/Renesas kext.
3. For SSD Trim use: TrimEnabler
4. For blutooth use: Link
5. For users who have problems with wifi: remove Apple80211Monitor.bundle from /S/L/SystemConfiguration. (You will not have working auto connection on startup but it will stop dropping and laging.)

Great job. This is one of the most clearly organized and well-written guides on this forum. I have almost the same system (Pro version motherboard). I'm going to use this to tweek my setup as I don't have Speedstep working.

Thanks

Cheers won't work on a clean install of lion though although I'm not sure if there is a method with current iboot.

Are you still using the dsdt and ssdt files? How many p states do you get with his and what's your geek bench score like?

Found my p states dropped after i installed first time but have had between 12 and 16 thousand geek bench score.

Just installing second time round so will post here scores in a bit.

Would you explain what does it mean "wont work"? Ive done clean install yesterday and its working.
I have Geekbench around 14203 and PM and Turbo working. (look at pics)

Im not using any dsdt and ssdt cause its not needed.

I tried to install lion on a clean partition (I.e. Blank drive) and wouldn't boot with iboot but not sure if it can anyway at the moment. Brilliant so all 15 states are working? Have you got the MSRDumper read out?

Cheers for the guide by the way is very clear and concise

Don't do that. Asus bios has PCIRootUID=0:

Your DSDT:
Device (PCI0)
{
Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0A08"))
Name (_CID, EisaId ("PNP0A03"))
Name (_ADR, Zero)
Method (^BN00, 0, NotSerialized)
{
Return (Zero)
}

Method (_BBN, 0, NotSerialized)
{
Return (BN00 ())
}

Name (_UID, Zero)

Ok. I thought that there is PCIRootUID=0 by default. And it doesnt work without PCIRooUID flag.
There is no proper boot cd for sandybridge as far as I know thats why we use this flag.

oswaldini , where you wrote "Your DSDT", can you (or someone) explain what that means and what one would do with it. I'm new and DSDT's are the one are that I'm really not able to understand.
Thanks

Your DSDT = DSDT from your Asus P8Z68 Deluxe.

If you have new Asus Z68 chipset motherboard or ASRock Z68 chipset motherboard you don't need to use DSDT and SSDT at all.

Yes, I have a P8Z68 Pro, so I won't need a DSDT, but for information, what is a DSDT and when is it needed.
Thank you.

I see you have the same board. Is the install for the Pro different than what is described in this thread for the Deluxe?
