Hi All,
I managed to install Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 using Opencore, so far everything works great but Shutdown/Reboot and Sleep.
The thing is, some times the machine shuts down nicely, but some times it just goes blank and the computer is still on with spinning fans, and some times power button light goes off but the fans are still spinning.
Meanwhile Reboot doesn't work at all, the screens go blank... but the system doesn't reboot it just stays on.
I tried the method from dortania in fixing shutdown/restart, followed so many tips & methods but It just don't work...
there is no HXC in my DSDT file, and there are so many devices with _PRW.
The system:
Mobo: ASUS P6X58D-E
Proc: Intel i7 950
GPU: Radeon RX580
RAM: 20GB
DRIVE 512 SSD
note:
Previously I had Mojave installed using clover everything worked but sleep. I haven't tried Catalina with clover because I want to shift to opencore since clover is lacking support now.
If anyone can give some advice on how to fix this would be really appreciated.
(Please do not tell me to get a new system/motherboard because this is all I got and it worked. If I could, I would happily get a new hardware. For the time being, I have to optimise what I got.)
