I have created a bootable OS X USB drive using a VM and I'm able to boot from it.
I have adjusted my BIOS settings according to this: http://www.tonymacx86.com/desktop-compatibility/133691-asus-rog-maximus-gene-vii-z97-works.html
and this: https://noberoi.wordpress.com/2013/10/30/install-mac-os-x-mavericks-on-a-intel-pc-with-asus-maximus-vi-gene-_hacknt0sh_/
But whenver I try to boot from the USB drive I get to the BIOS.
What could have gone wrong? is it probably the USB drive or maybe do I even need to do a BIOS update?
(I'm currently running version 0504 if I'm not mistaken).
Thanks in advnace for helping out.

From where you acquired the Yosemite installation package??

In which method you created the bootable USB?? Clover or UniBeast??
