[solved] ASUS G551JX-CN088H - no sound in internal speakers

Hi,

I have a problem with audio internal speakers sound in laptop ASUS G551JX-CN088H.
As i read it needs ALC668 codec(DPCIManager doesn't show me this;(), so i've downloaded:
AppleHDA-272.18.1-ALC668
and
HDAEnabler3.kext and installed it via KextBeast.

After that sound is working only with headphones.
When i pull out headphones's jack, audio changes to "internal speakers" and all controlrs works but no sound from speakers ;(
This is dual boot installation(El Capitan GM candidate + WIN10 on the same SSD disk) and audio works fine in WIN10.
Same problem with Yosemite 10.10.5 so it's not a problem with El Capitano beta version.

Can you help my with this ?
I've tried many other codecs and Voodoo solutions without success.

Hey,
I just got the G551JX as well. Could you tell me what you had to do to successfully boot into OS X installation/desktop? Was any bios patch required?

Hi,

I didn't patch anything in BIOS. Just disabled secure boot and VT-D.
In attachment you will find all working(El Capitan 10.11.2):
- kexts (put them to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.11.2)
- DSDT.AML (put it in /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched)
- config.plist (put it in /EFI/CLOVER and change XXXX... values in SMBIOS and RtVariables sections to yours)
- audio use files from:

- wifi (i had to change card to BCM4352 AZURWAVE because Intel is not compatible)
