In the throes of trying to get Win10 installed on my hackie :) oh what fun. Anyway, one thing I wanted to try was to Carbon Copy Clone my MacOS boot disk, then see if I could boot from it.

So I CCC'd from m.2_1 (NVME SSD) to m.2_2 (PCIe SSD) which went gratifyingly fast. Checked EFI partitions and they looked the same. So I think I have a valid copy of my boot disk.

So I shut down, booted into BIOS and looked at my boot priority menu. Somewhat puzzled to see that SSD number 2, the one I just cloned to, does not appear in the list of bootable devices. I must have missed something. CCC says that the copies it makes should be bootable... anyway, after Clover comes up off the EFI partition on the old boot disk, it can boot the new boot disk. However, I would bet (not going to try it, too dangerous) that if I were to reformat the original boot disk I'd brick my Hackie and have to boot from USB stick.

So... why does my BIOS not see the ccc'd boot disk as a bootable device?
