Most likely this will also blank out video from the UHD 630. The iGPU on 9th Gen Core CPUs is quite difficult to configure. If a discrete GPU (AMD RX or Vega) is used, then both 0x3E920003 and 0x3E9B0007 will work fine, allowing the iGPU to be fully accelerated but with no display output. When the accelerated AppleIntelFramebuffer attaches to this iGPU, it seems to disable video output, but when the default framebuffer attaches, we get video output, but it's not accelerated.

The more you know! I guess I didn't notice because i'm running my iGPU in headless mode for QuickSync.

That's really the best way to run this!

For those who think discrete GPUs are for games, let me say I haven't played a video game in over a decade! I use my RX 580 for 4K60 video for Retina display. Because it also supports DisplayPort 1.4, I believe it will support a 5K monitor at 60Hz as well. I will plug that DP 1.4 cable into the DP-Input port on the Designare motherboard and use the Thunderbolt 3 5K output to a future Apple 5K monitor. I can also run DP 1.4 directly to a DP 1.4 5K monitor on the market right now (such as the one by Planar).

Hi
I have the same motherboard with i7 8700K and Radeon HD 7870
Everything works fine with BIOS 1.30
If I upgrade to 1.50 or 1.60 I get a Freeze Up
Can you please share your EFI folder
Thank you

if you still need it - here's the efi folder that worked for me.

maybe the newer bios has more settings to check/set?!

Hey guys,

I have the same motherboard (bios 1.50), with i7-9700 and GT1030.

Bios settings same as skopp0's:

first, i have updated the BIOS version to 1.50 to be sure that the MB recognizes the 9. gen CPU.

then i made the settings in bios for mojave installation,
but the asrock bios hasn't the "load opt. Settings feature", no "OS type: other OS" found in the setting.
Chipset → IOAPIC 24-119 Entries : Enabled (also missing)."

I have tried using skopp0's EFI files and config.plist - no luck there
I have tried using unibeast 9.2.0 - no luck
I have tried the vanilla method - no luck
I have been through this thread a lot of times and I still can't figure out what's wrong with my setup/process. Could somebody help me please?

I have used a lot EFI files and config.plist so I'm not even sure which ones would be accurate to upload... So I attached my vanilla ones.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like a problem with the FakeSMC sensor kexts.
Many posts have suggested removing them before installation.
Clearly you should not delete FakeSMC.kext though.

Note that there are no Mojave drivers for your GT 1030.

Just deleted the FakeSMC sensor kexts, keeping the FakeSMC.kext.
Still no luck

Your Clover version looks old - Try updating it.
I've updated to Clover_v2.5k_r5070 - it now freezes at "End RandomSeed"....

I have also unplugged the graphics card, monitor is plugged in via DVI.

Newer versions of Clover use a different folder structure.
Your "End RandomSeed" issue is probably due to having the memory fix driver in the old folder rather than the new one.
