Asrock Z370 Taichi/Thunderbolt/8700K

I have had moderate success with my new build. Boots and runs 10.13.2 with Clover V4359.

Asrock Thunderbolt 3 AIC works with my Apple Thunderbolt Display.

I am still working on these issues:

Immediate reboot after sleep

Does not recognize my 4.8 overclock

SATA controllers shown as Generic in System Information

Any suggestions greatly appreciated

The only way to see your CPU frequency would be with the use of something like HWMonitor, Intel Power Gadget, etc. About this Mac will just show 3.7GHz.

The SATA controller being shown as Generic is normal. We need Apple to offer real Z370 support before that will change. However, functionally, it should work fine. If you want to change it cosmetically, you can try using the SATA-200-series-unsupported.kext.

The Intel Power Gadget shows a max frequency of 4.3. It seems that my 4.8 overclock does not take effect in High Sierra.

My overclocked i7-8700K shows fine in High Sierra. Check your BIOS settings again.

I too have the same motherboard and cpu, +1 for the request for your clover efi folder. I have not been able to make a successful install usb.

I'm considering buying this motherboard ASRock Z370 Taichi. Did you have success installing high sierra with this board? And how about the thunderbolt AIO?
