Good morning

I've found similar threads here about the two minutes left problem...but none of the solutions worked for me...
and thought I'll do a new thread as it seems not much related to the Z370M-ITX/AC motherboard...

Seems the problem lies with the APFS conversion failing....

Tried with:

  • OsxAptioFixDrv-64.efi -> crashes at boot
  • OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi
  • OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi

Also tried with different drives, EVO 970 Plus, EVO 960. OCZ Vertex SATA SSD. It stop alweays at the same point where it leaves the SSD incomplete...it can be booted but throws than an error...

dirvers64UEFI folder looks like:

-rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 21184 15 Apr 21:15 ApfsDriverLoader-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 17280 6 Apr 2018 AppleImageCodec-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 5312 6 Apr 2018 AppleKeyAggregator-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 2400 6 Apr 2018 AppleUITheme-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 45120 15 Apr 21:15 AudioDxe-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 5696 15 Apr 21:15 DataHubDxe-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 user staff 21792 7 Okt 07:11 EmuVariableUefi-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 22144 15 Apr 21:15 FSInject-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 7232 6 Apr 2018 FirmwareVolume-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx@ 1 user staff 24352 7 Okt 07:30 OsxAptioFix3Drv-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 23776 15 Apr 21:15 PartitionDxe-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 4480 15 Apr 21:15 SMCHelper-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 29504 15 Apr 21:15 VBoxHfs-64.efi -rwxrwxrwx 1 user staff 583992 6 Okt 10:42 apfs.efi

Here's the clip of the installation and reboot process:

Another option might be to get a USB/NVMe adapter and install Mojave onto it from another macOS machine...dunno if that would work though...

Trying now since over 3 days to get this miniITX build running to replace an old iMac for my girl friend (o;

Did try now to install macOS Mojave on an external HD from my older High Sierra build...

I can boot then this HD then from the H370M-ITX/AC but then a screen pops up telling me that installer resources could not be found....so no way I can pre-install a SSD from another Mac...

And yes...this is with installer USB stick and SATA drive only...nothing else connected...

Hmm...much better now...installed from another and older USB 2.0 stick onto internal SATA SSD with NVMe SSD removed...

It just seems to ignore the language setting from installation start...

Now have to check if the install also works with NVMe SSD...

Was definitively it....

The installer needs to be USB.20 and only one other drive must be viible...

Installation went flawless onto a Samsung EVO 970 Plus (o;

Now if I just don't screw up Clover installation and Multibeast setup (o;

Hmm....a little too early (o;

In the system profile I only see the USB3.1 bus..nothing else...

Have a front panel installed connected to USB2.0 and USB3.0 motherboard connectors with SD/CF card slots and USB2/3 connectors...

Only connected USB stick are recognized....my Samsung T5 external SSD is only recognized when attached to the back panel USB2.0 ports of the motherboard...

Well I just copied over the Clover stuff from the USB installer to the internal SSD...

Solved the USB problem with USBInjectAll and compiling from the dsl template....though needed to left out some ports due to the 15 port limit..

@davorin Thanks for your detailed forum posts. I'm having a lot of trouble installing Catalina on a machine with same motherboard and the following specs:

Motherboard: ASRock H370m-itx ac. Changed the WIFI card to BCM94350ZAE (works natively).
CPU: Intel Core i3 9100
RAM: 16GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4-2666
SSD: Samsung MZ-76E250B/EU SSD 860 EVO 250 GB
no gpu or other card

As you see, it's a very basic build.

Before I found your posts, I tried the config/EFI provided here. Unfortunately it did not work out.

Today I tried using your config/EFI and modified it by putting USBInjectAll into the /kexts/Other folder an by putting SSDT-UIAC-ALL.dsl into ACPI/patched.

When I try to boot with a USB3.0 Stick in a 3.0 or 2.0 port I get a screen with the prohibition sign ⃠ after a few minutes booting.

When I copy the same EFI directly to the SSD the verbose output is a little different but then the screen goes blank...

I would be immensely grateful if you could provide me your EFI folder or help me with this problem.

Thank you in advance!

Hmm..you are using a USB3.0 stick to boot?

For me that never worked...had to use an old USB2.0 stick to be able to boot and install...

Don't have access at the moment to the Mojave build as it is in the office of my girlfriend...
