Ask RehabMan FakeSMC Question

I guess if you would come up with associated plugins for VirtualSMC, everybody will be happy and grateful including myself.

It is a matter of time... someone will do the work eventually.

With respect to FakeSMC and iStatMenu Sensor information, I do not share your mostly negative conclusions above.

Just having the FakeSMC sensors installed have already proven to prevent certain laptops from entering idle pstate consistently. It is due to excessively short polling intervals, and even polling when not necessary (eg. when not running anything that is reading/displaying the sensor data).

Apparently it was sufficient to add the Sapphire Nitro+ Vega 64 Device ID 0x687f to radeon_chipinfo_gen.h

I have the same problem with my Vega 64 Nitro+ also shows 127 degrees which I would like to fix. Unfortunately I´m a big noob when it comes to this stuff so I would really appreciate if you could direct me how to access the "radeon_chipinfo_gen.h" file. Cheers!
