Are nvidia geforce 7900 cards supported?

nope it is not supported, because Mountain Lion is 64 bit only and it has no 64 bit drivers for the GeForce 7xxx anymore 
I have the same issue with my 7950 GTX. Just stay with Snow Leopard / Lion.
