AR9485 does not work. There is no driver support for it and mapping its ID to AirPortAtheros40.kext supported ID(s) does not work.

Best to replace it with a compatible card.

News about what? AR9485 is not supported. It does not work. You can't use it. It is hopeless unless Apple starts using it in their computers. Given that all new Apple computers have 802.11ac, I think that is rather unlikely.
