Hello, I am trying to troubleshoot my z390 Master build that i followed to a T from this guide (I have all the same hardware):

Everything works great and I have updated to Catalina 10.15.1

However on occasion since I have 4 10TB hard drives installed (me and my wife edit video for weddings) my board likes to not boot. It gives me this error:

ERROR allocating 0x1199b pages at 0x0000000160c7000 alloc type 2
Couldn't allocate runtime area
Boot failed; will sleep for 10 seconds before exiting...
_

Anyway everything boots fine only after I either load windows or unplug all my hard drives.

does AptioMemoryFix.efi need updated?

I was looking at the git hub and it looks like they changed the name?

what driver do i install as an update?

FwRuntimeServices.efi

and

OpenCore.efi?

Those 2 .efi files are for OpenCore Boot loader. Don’t use them with Clover

Please update your profile to your system spec per the forum rules:

But yes the your receiving has to do with Aptiomemoryfix. A lot of people who have z390 boards use OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi for constant booting. However, the developer of the file says it can do bad things to your Harware. Lots of people use it, I have not seen reports here of it breaking hardware but the developer says it can.

This board int this guid looks close to yours:

On another note I have noticed that my Z170 system has issues booting constantly unless I use osxAptiofix2drv-free2000 or I remove the wifi card.

If you unlock MSR on the board that will sort it out for you buddy.
I haven’t had a problem with my z390 master nvram since I unlocked mine.

I guess I suck at google. do you know how to unlock it? Thanks!

I actually ended up disabling my CSM Support in my BIOS and so far everything works w/ no more boot issues

unlock MSR is done now on my Z390 I .

I still have boot issue once for a while, (plug in STAT HD, or doing OS updates..)

now I have MSR unlocked, Do I need to delete any efi files from EFI section ?
