What is the difference between ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext and AppleRTC Patch for CMOS Reset?

Which should I use?
or both?

You would only use ElliottForceLegacyRTC.kext if you are not using a DSDT. Otherwise you need to patch AppleRTC with a DSDT from the database.
