@toleda I`ve always had a problem with audio on El Capitan with the ALC887 Codec. With this tutorial it was the most simple thing to do to get audio easily on my system. Thank a lot!

I have read through that wiki multiple times. Have been struggling with this audio for weeks. I can't find anything in there about what to do with the xml and kext config files. Do I just drop them into the contents folder of appleHDA.kext to replace the native configuration?

No. everything is added to AppleALC as the link notes. AppleHDA.kext remains native. Off topic.

Hello. Do you have any solution for ALC889 in Mojave?
I used Toleda's patch until now but seems that it's not supported in Mojave.

Specs:
MB: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K
RAM: 8GB
GPU: R9 270X DirectCU 2GB
