Thanks! I have tried Audio ID's 1 thru 7, 11, and 99 - various analog devices/SPDIF show up depending on the ID, but HDMI never shows up as a device, only part of Intel HDA .... The HDMI audio device connected is a Samsung TV, and the sound works without any issues on a macMini - also running sierra.

AppleALC.kext, onboard audio only; nothing to do with HDMI audio.

1030, see Post #1/Notes/Nvidia
Out of desperation, I removed the AppleALC.kext, the Lilu.kext and replaced it with VoodooHDA.kext at CLOVER/kexts/Others and the HDMI audio works now, not sure what is difference ... not sure if we need to spend anymore time on it, unless you want me to dig further. Thanks!

Hi. Sorry I can't upload problem reporing files at the moment. I have installed a working patched appleHDA kext. I tried install audio_cloverHDMI.command. It wrote 2 ssdt files to efi. But in terminal I got that "more than one display connected to hd4000" I tried also without connected HDMI and connected HDMI. What happened? This is a samsung laptoo(i5 3317u,hd4000)

Post #1: Intel/AMD/Nvidia desktop graphics systems
Neither installed ssdt will work with a laptop.
Attach IOReg with HDMI audio device attached.

No HDMI audio codec detected when running cloverHDMI
Two choices:
1. Post to RehabMan thread (source of non working HDMI audio)
2. Remove non working HDMI audio
a. remove config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches:
change AZAL to HDEF (legacy only)
change HDAS to HDEF (100 Series and newer)
change GFX0 to IGPU (disables ssdt)
change B0D3 to HDAU (disables ssdt)
b. remove config.plist/Devices/AddProperties:
hda-gfx=onboard-1 for HDMI audio
hda-gfx=onboard-1 for HDMI audio
layout-id=3
c. remove config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch:
all HDMI audio patches, Items5 - 16

All of these above you mentioned were disabled in my config.plist. Is there anything else that I missed?
