Audio device shown in System Preferences - Sound as "Panasonic TV - HDMI".
IOReg shows DP/HDMI audio working
Select "Panasonic TV - HDMI" > HDMI audio, yes?
Are you using a miniDP2HDMI adapter?
What exactly is the problem to solve?

Yes I have chosen HDMI Audio as my output, I am using a MiniDP > HDMI adapter which go to my Receiver(Confirmed working on Linux).
The problem is that there is no sound output. Neither in system sounds, Safari(Youtube etc), Kodi(Movies) or Itunes.
I have attached another file, with some updated information in plist and ioreg when connected to the device. I had uploaded the wrong plist before.

What is the connection to the TV?
Computer >DP2HDMI > Receiver > HDMI & Toslink > TV

No difference if I choose TV Speakers or Surround Sound in my TV audio output settings.

The receiver should show in System Preferences not the TV with that configuration.
Are the speakers connected to the receiver? or TV?
Why optical to TV?

The "Panasonic TV" is always shown in System Preference for me in Linux & Windows.
Speakers connected to the Receiver, Optical to TV because my TV do not support ARC(to get audio from analog television).

I have attached a new debugfile consisting of Ioregs & one screenshot.
This time I tried the following:
Passive DP2HDMI on another Receiver - No Audio
Active DP2HDMI on another Receiver - No Audio
Passive DP2HDMI direct to TV - No Audio

direct to TV: IOReg shows TV does not support HDMI audio, not viable
Active/Passive ...: IOReg taken with receiver connected? or Disconnected?

HDMI audio not posible, agree?

Not the question asked. The question was:
All tests done with receiver connected and ON.
