Apple IR USB Header

Does this mod require the same diode step down on the +5 volts ( to 3.6ish) as the BT mod?

I should mention I am specifically referring to the Apple Infrared Board 922-7195, which I see D-an-W is successfully using and I just purchased via the last link posted. Thanks for that, BTW

No, the IR module doesn't need the diodes at all.

Just picked up an IR module for £4 so as long as it works with the mac, Ill do for the time being.

As you're obviously doing a retail install, why can't you get the driver from your own bootcamp driver set?

Anyway, TBH the Apple remote only works OOTB for iTunes in Windows so it's not really super useful. You might want to read this though:
