Apologies if this has been posted somewhere else, I can't seem to find anything.

After successfully installing High Sierra, I used VoodooHDA kext to get audio working.
However, I have encountered clipping/distortion at medium to high volumes, and after a quick google search I obviously need to get rid of it.

However, I'm not quite sure how to replace it. I tried following insanelydeepak's Clover HDA Patched Apple HDA guide but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. I also tried Toledo's AppleHDA Realtek Audio guide, but got lost quite quickly.

This is my first Hackintosh build, and I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks in advance, and I'm sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else.

3 methods, what did you try?

Easiest, MultiBeast: 3 selections, ALC887, 300 Series (2x)
See High Sierra - MultiBeast Audio
Hello, thanks for the quick reply :)

I tried Multibeast and am now trying it again, though I can't see the 'EFI' partition in the build section (after mounting it), and when I try and do it to my Hard Drive, I get an error.

03/21/18 23:29:19 - Starting MultiBeast 10.2.0-20171217
03/21/18 23:29:53 - Mounting EFI
03/21/18 23:29:54 - EFI partition for volume does not contain a CLover config.plist. Exiting.

It does have a clover config.plist, under /EFI/EFI/CLOVER/config.plist

Is there a fix for this? Google is unconclusive... :/

Thanks again

Do not mount the EFI partition, MultiBeast mounts the partition.
Try again.
Reply with your MultiBeast selections.
