In order to install Snow Leopard I had to use GraphicsEnabler=No (I take it it's set to GraphicsEnabler=Yes by default?), so that's what my current setting is and I used a DSDT for my motherboard.

My graphic card shows up as ATI Radeon HD NI40. In some threads, people have said both DVD Player and the App Store don't work for them. Though for me App Store opens fine (even though I never use it).

In other threads I've read that seeing "ATI Radeon HD NI40" is purely cosmetic. So I'm not sure what exactly to do.

Any suggestions to get DVD Player working, though?

In advance, thanks.

Try to find an "AtiConfig" (search here in the forum) that allows you to set GraphicsEnabler=yes ...and everthing will work out fine!
Alright. Looked around and found this post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?t=46392&p=292671

When booting and setting to GraphicsEnabler=Yes or AtiConfig=Duckweed, for example, I simply see the Apple logo grey screen and after that my monitor goes black.
