The Windows PC guy is back. Hasn't aged that much either. Maybe it's the makeup crew LOL.

I think Apple's perfomance data is very misleading. They are comparing lowest end Intel CPU with just 4 cores (forget about those 4 efficiency cores).

Just wait for benchmark results and we will have a clear picture.

And M1 chip has max 16GB memory. That is too little in modern machines.

Hmmm...
  • New Mac mini:
    • No 10 Gigabit Ethernet option
    • Only 2 Thunderbolt ports versus 4
    • Has WiFi 6
  • New MacBook Pro 13:
    • Only 2 Thunderbolt ports versus 4
    • Has WiFi 6
    • Same 720p FaceTime camera
  • New MacBook Air:
    • Has WiFi 6
    • Same 720p FaceTime camera

Because they want Pro users to buy the more expensive iMac, iMac Pro or Mac Pro instead.

3x faster then 4 cores is still 2x faster then 6 cores and at least equal to 8 cores keep in mind there is not an 8core intel Mac mini. The low memory is likely not really an issue with the T2 chip and how the leverage the Neural Engine.

In typical Apple fashion, the ram and storage upgrade prices on Mac mini are rather excessive. $400 to go from 256GB to 1TB is four times too much IMO.
