Is your ethernet connection set at "en0" ?

I fixed this issue in a thread I started a few days ago:

"For those of you who can't login to Appstore, make sure your Ethernet built'in is set à en0 (you can see that in System Information, ioreg and Network utility). If not, then go to Network in System Preferences and delete all your devices, apply, then deleteLibrary/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist. Reboot, go to Network in System Preferences again and add your Ethernet connection FIRST. You're good to go!"

This fixed my issue, Thank you very much Glnk2012

Had this issue on a fresh Sierra install. Deleted all my configs in Network utility, restarted, checked ifconfig and I was at en0. Tried getting xcode from the app store again, worked a treat.

Thanks!!

WiFI Adapter (USB Dongle) Instructions
These instructions could also apply to regular Ethernet (hard wired), but figured I didn't need to cover it.

PART 1

1) Unplug your WiFi USB Adapter
2) Go to Settings > Network
a) Remove ALL of the items by clicking the minus "-" symbol

c) Click "Create" to Add Ethernet (en0) to the list

2) Plug in your WiFi USB Adapter
a) If you have driver software or an app (like I did) you MUST open the app, too!

3) Go back to Settings > Network (should still be open)
a) Click the plus "+" symbol and find 802.11n WLAN Adapter (or any item you know is the WiFi adapter)

4) Click Apply

5) Go to the App Store
a) Once open, click Store in the menu
b) Click on Sign in...
c) Login with your account information

6) DONE. It should all work!

Here's a screenshot of how your Network settings should look afterwards.

I did not need to delete my preferences.plist. It worked fine without me deleting that.
This seemed to work for me. Many thanks, none of the other things §I tried fixed it.

Did you install EmuVariableUefi-64 and RC scripts ?
The procedure is as detailed in Problem 6 here.

I don´t use a nvidia GPU yet ;-)
Nobody said that you did - Read carefully - I said that the procedure is the same.
Obviously you only need to install the driver and RC scripts, you can ignore the references to graphics.
