APFS reliability

Any know issues with APFS? last time i checked (with Mojave) suggestion was to clone the installation on an HFS+ disk.
Problem was file system corruptions due to missing ECC in firmware with original Mac when on APFS.
What now? it is safe to use Catalina hackintosh with APFS with SSD/NVME ?

I've been using APFS for two years now, no issues at all.
