Good afternoon,
I had MacOS High Sierra installed on my PC and everything worked perfectly. I had the bad idea of installing the bios update, switching to the latest version 1502.
Now I can't get on with the installation, it stops everything at apfs_module_start1279.
Can someone help me???? I am desperate!

ps. I tried to insert the apfs driver and nothing in EFI. The only positive note is that when I boot from USB I see both the windows disk and the disk with su mac os (HFS formatted), but it doesn't start.

Waste of time installing Mojave with a GTX-1060, there are no drivers.
Pull it out and use your processor's UHD Graphics 630 or install High Sierra.

HELP ME! :'(

I am facing the same problem with Dell Inspiron 7580 (i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz, Socket 1356 FCBGA):
after BIOS update 1.7.0 --> 1.8.0 I could not boot anymore and got stuck at the same point "apfs_module_start 1279".

I have tryed the following:
- BIOS downgrade 1.7.0 and even 1.6.0
- re-install of High Sierra with HFS instead of APFS
- Unibeast / Multibeast with the UEFI or legacy option
- review of BIOS settings.

The installation results to be fine, as the SSD with High Sierra boots on another laptop, so it must be definitively something wrong in the Dell Inspiron 7580 after the BIOS update.

Any solution or idea something I could try?

Thanks in advance for any answer / comment or advice.

This patch solved my problem!
