Hey guys.. If anyone gets this laptop make sure you post in this thread if you try to install OSX on it.

It looks like the best laptop on the market right now and considering it's SLI with dual 965GTX that communicate directly with the display it will be interesting to see how well this laptop does as Hackintosh.

I am probably going to buy it fully decked out but before i do that I'd like to see everyone's opinions.

Hi,

I got that laptop. Installed Elcapitan 10.11.4. Working fine. Sound work, SLI graphics work, keyboard and trackpad works, Battery works. I'm stuck at making LCD brightness to work.

Regards,
vox

Silentvox, I might try to get this working as well on my X5 - do you have a rough guide of how you went about creating the image and what files you needed / where you found them? By battery brightness you mean it defaults to zero which means the display doesn't work? This guy has a pretty great set of drivers for the X7 which is really similar http://circuitboard.tistory.com/16 (have to hit translate). Love the laptop.. OSX would be a plus for sure

Hi X5 user here attempting a dual boot between Yosemite and 8.1 (windows10 doesn't play well with my x5 for some reason).
Will update here as I go.

p.s. Thanks for the info engineten :) cant translate the page for some reason but the download links are clearly listed.
