So ± 100% no luck with this help will wait your respond

I have no idea what you are talking about man. The settings i uploaded are correct, taken from a real mac and working perfectly with hackintosh. If "looks like 3360x1417" makes you "dizzy" i have no idea what to tell you, that is the resolution default for these screens on a mac, so maybe you chose the wrong screen. You can always experiment with other scaled resolutions but on a real mac you are presented with "looks like 3360x1417" and the next step down is all the way to "looks like 2560x1080".

In case anyone's having issues getting HiDPI to work under 10.15, here is the link to your solution: https://egpu.io/forums/mac-setup/missing-scaled-resolution-w-vega-64-tb3-lg-34wk95u-w/

One thing worth to notice is that if you're getting Read-Only error even after csrutil disable,
just do sudo mount -uw /
this will mount the system partition writable.

@genzai You legend! Thank you!

For anyone else having the same issue:
  1. Copy the settings for his custom resolution exactly
  2. Click "Activate immediately"
  3. Select the newly available HiDPI of 3360x1417
  4. Set the Scaled Resolutions Base to 5120x2160
  5. Win!

Can anyone do printscreens or screen recording, please. Of the steps to achieve HiDPI with highest resolution. Thank you

Hi all. I have amd 5700xt (bought it just for update to Catalina)
I want to upgrade to wide and retina like 34WK95U. But I see there are problems.

Anyone use 5700xt on catalina with this monitor? If it is OK I will buy one and use it.

I read through this thread and I'm wondering how you got these values from a real mac.
On macOS Catalina there is an issue with this monitor and DisplayPort 1.4.
- Workaround: set it in the monitors OnScreen menu to DP 1.2. Otherwise it will not be recognized correctly (wrong resolution):

Just hooked up this new monitor via the shipped white Thunderbolt cable to my MacBook Pro 16":

The default resolution "looks like 256x1080":

You can get a dump of your graphics environment and get more infos how your display is connected:
Code:
/System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/MacOS/AGDCDiagnose -a > AGDCDiagnose_a.txt

Hope this helps.

The folks here might have some other workarounds: https://egpu.io/forums/mac-setup/missing-scaled-resolution-w-vega-64-tb3-lg-34wk95u-w/
