I've been able to install Mac OS X Mavericks and Yosemite. However with the recent update to El Capitan and Sierra, RAID hard drives are no longer supported which is what my computer uses. Is there any way around this and get it to install anyway?

I concurrently run both 10.8 ML and now Sierra inside the one system, both bootable choices at powerup.
My ML partition is installed on a raid 0 config whereas my Sierra is on a standalone SSD.
Although Sierra doesn't appear to support a Raid, I simply booted to my ML partition, set up my raid 0 and
then boot in to Sierra drive whereby my raid 0 is recognised.

OR, are you trying to install Sierra to a raid 0 config ???
If so, am assuming this link might help.
