Any luck with Optiplex builds? First build attempt.

I have a the following machines. Been trying to get the 3010 to work but can't get it to boot without an iBoot disc. I have a Snow Leopard disc I used as OS. After installing Multibeast, it still wont boot without disc. It get stuck on the Apple grey screen, the spinning progress never comes up. Thoughts?

Optiplex 5040 with i7 6700, 8gb

i7 6700 not supported in Snow Leopard.
i5 3470 maybe with iBoot Ivy Bridge.

Are you intending to run Snow Leopard or use it as a stepping stone to download a more recent OS ?
