Answer home phone on Hackintosh

Anyone know of any OS X software I could use to turn my hckintosh into a home phone center? I was hoping to run the phone line to PC, use the PC to then only allow certain numbers through to ring and direct others to VM. Any ideas?

Your best bet for what you describe would be to use some kind of SIP or VOIP service.

There's the app Telephone off the app store which is free and works wonderfully for this - I get a VOIP service (in this case from my ISP) and people can call that phone number and it goes to my hackintosh / macbook and if I don't answer on either then to my phone / voicemail.

I get my phone service through Cox, I wonder if there is a way to work that out...
