Got the itch to build a decent desktop computer for my office a couple months ago and finally pulled the trigger with a discounted Haswell bundle as the new Skylake processors hit the market. This is my second Hackintosh, the first being an ultra reliable budget Haswell that is still working fine to this day. Since I upgraded the work computer to 16GB of memory recently, I was left with an 8GB stick. I matched the purchased memory for this build to the leftover and have 24GB... figure it was better than letting it collect dust for eternity.
I created two partitions and did an install of Yosemite and an installation of Windows 10, which worked flawlessly following dual boot guides here. After getting everything stable I proceeded to overclock the 4690K to 4.4GHz @ 1.210 volts with the help of the referenced CPU cooler, never exceeding 70*C on Prime95's small ffl test. Seems good to go so I'm going to start enjoying it, will update with any changes... and experience with El Capitan install when I cross that bridge. I did install it on the spare storage drive using UniBeast 6.0 and had zero issues after doing the sound patch, but I'm not ready to reconfigure my SSD dual boot presumed house of cards.
