AMDRADEONX4000 vs AMDRADEON X9500

Just wondering if it is normal with my build that macos uses the amdx4000 kext for my rx 580. I see other posts of rx 580's that are using amdx9500. Please look at my attached ioreg screenshot and let me know what you think, if that is correct or if I have some more fiddling to do. Everything seems to work ok but cannot get macxdvd convertor to show that hardware encoding is enabled. It still uses amdx4000 if I inject ATI with ocinoco as the framebuffer. I did have to make a custom EDID for my 2nd monitor to display correct, it always used a low resolution for some reason but now all ports do work.

There appears to be something wrong. It should load the 9500controllerkext and the 4000kext. Both should be loaded.

Post your EFI folder. The EDID should not have to be used for this card. Lilukext and WEG should open up the other ports.

Here's IOReg with Vega 64 notice the 10,000 controller then the 5000kext.

Do you have another config.plist? There are some firmware features missing.

I do. I’ll try with everything filled. Looks like you added WEG to the kext folder so i’ll try that again

No change with all the firmware fields complete. Here is now my current config.plist.
