You said a crazy adapter for the BCM94360CS2. Can you tell me what this crazy adapter is, because I got an adapter for that card that is not working. I have the same motherboard as you do.
I guess you already found it?

You are a life saver.. i tried almost everything and was at the verge of giving up on Xfx RX580, i saw u r post and downgraded my bios to the similar version you mentioned here and viola.. Mojave works like charm.. thank you so much pal.
I've been working on this all weekend and when I found your post this morning I had hope! But it didn't work for me. Can I ask what Kexts you're running and what port you're using on your card (If I have anything plugged into a displayport, it won't even get to my bios)?

Did you disable igpu?
Which Symbios or system model are you using?

I tried 14,2 & now 18,3 & yeah igpu's been disabled for years.

I'm going to try to talk the guy at the local computer store to swap for a different RX 580

I use the MSI RX 580 ARMOR MK2 8G OC
got it on sale and MFRebate.

Native plug and play with both my Mojave and High Sierra installs.
edit: I should note that I built and installed MacOS without the card and added it after the system was fully functional.

It won't go past Clover with the XFX RX 580 in, so I did the install with my 1050ti.

Hopefully I am not over stepping Raftrix86's boundaries. However, it seems that he has the GTS Black edition. I had the GTS XXX edition (similar from your link) and had problems with booting with High Sierra and Mojave. However, after changing my GPU BIOS to the GTS Black edition (Dated 12 March 2017) using AMD/ATI Flash, I was able to boot with no problems (both High Sierra and Mojave). I have full sleep/wake capabilities, not sure how to check HDMI audio. My BIOS reflash leads me to believe that the GTS Black edition is an officially OOB for High Sierra and Mojave.

Now this is just my speculation, there are other variables to it, such as his hardware build being different from mine. I would say if you decide for the GTS XXX Edition and you have no luck booting, try my route.

Flash through Windows obviously.

PS:
I tried the GTS Black edition BIOS dated 2017-04-10 and I was able to boot with both High Sierra and Mojave, however I get issues with the screen prior to loading an OS (Windows or OSX) and after loading everything seems like nothing happened. By no means I am no expert within the GPU realm, but it was wearisome, try not to use that BIOS.

Hi,

I just purchased the XXX edition for my wife hackintosh. I'm not able to find the bios dated 12 March 2017. The link you provided is dated 2017-04-12 (April). Is it the one you are talking about?

I finally took the plunge and got off Sierra and onto Mojave. I got tired of holding out that Nvidia was going to be supported again and went out and purchased a XFX - AMD Radeon RX 580 GTS Black Edition 8GB (RX-580P8DBDR) from my local Best Buy. Was too lazy to wait for Amazon.

Anyway, I had issues with Mojave rebooting mid boot no matter what I did until I followed Kukuriks post above about updating the bios. I used the 2017-04-12 23:46:00 bios. This most matched my card. Before doing so I used the AMD/ATI Flash utility to backup my bios. Oddly, the bios on my card were from 2019, much newer than the 2017 bios. However, after doing the flashing to the 2017 bios Mojave booted and recognized my XFX card without issue. Its been working like a champ ever since.

If using the techpowerup bios, I would match your XFX card's core/mem/boost to the bios they have available.

Hope this helps those with this issue. It helped me.
