hi all,
can anyone confirm if asus rx480 working fine for the hack sierra 10.12.4 planning to buy one

No, it doesn't. Stay away from Asus RX4xx cards, the best working cards are XFX, PowerColor, Sapphire ones.

Guys, is AMD still working with swap method?

Hi, I can not installing sierra with clover. I followed the excellent giacomoleopardo help but arrive at the attached screen and after the symbol of the ban.
My setup is:
Asrock X99 Taichi, i7 6800k, MSI RX 480, NvME Samsung SSD 960 Evo 256GB HDD 3.0 TB WD Caviar Black etc.
I would use the SSD as a boot, but I was advised to first install another HD system, then clone with Carbon Copy Cloner SSD.
There is something wrong in the configuration in clover? I necessarily need a native graphics card for the start or the last of the sierra versions natively support the RX 480?
Thanks in advance to those who can help me.

My setup is this, I'm sure that something is wrong. Perhaps my peripheral PCI or what?
Clover-->Config.plist and Kexts-->10.12 attachments.
Thank you very much for your interest.

I have an MSI Armor 480 4GB card connected via DVI. I had it working well in 10.12.3 (using fake ID 67FF1002 & the kext patches for 36 compute units), yielding Valley benchmarks ~1780-1810 (on extreme HD preset) & a Luxmark score of 13504.

After updating to 10.12.4 & Clover to 4049, the card was no longer detected. I changed only the fake ID to 67EF1002 & rebooted, and it seems to be *nearly* back where it was in 10.12.3, with a Valley benchmark of 1789, Luxmark score of 13330, & Geekbench score of 129,850.

Edit: it is probably worth mentioning that InjectATI is necessary for my setup (otherwise it is as if there is no card at all)

Excuse the ignorant question, but where do I put the fake ID in clover? In devices -> Fake ID ATI? In Graphics I leave empty?
The config.plist files I have to change it?
Thank you.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I can not see my system report because I failed in the initial installation, I do not have an integrated graphics card (X99).

Unless something changed in the last couple months (always possible...), for the RX 480 cards you'll need to have some other natively supported graphics device that is set to initialize first (set this in your BIOS). In my case, I rely on integrated Intel graphics, which is connected to my (single) monitor by VGA. Normally my monitor is set to DVI (connected to the RX480), and I don't get anything on the screen until everything loads & auto-login kicks in, although I can switch to VGA if I need to do something with my BIOS, the Clover boot screen, or monitor the initial boot process of OSX. I'm sure I've seen other people successfully use natively supported graphics cards instead of the integrated ones in situations like yours, & I'm pretty sure that is the only option you have going forward.

Hey guys, I have a question,
I see there is the device ID 0x67DF1002 present in macOS 10.12.4 for RX480 inside AMD9500.kext and AMDRadeonX4100.kext. Does it mean it has native support or do you still need to use fakeID?
