Hello people here is a small simple fix for the Radeon R9 270 series graphics cards,
When you load Clover bootloader go into "Settings" and then "Graphics"
This should work for any type of Radeon R9 270. My version is the Gigabyte R9 270X OC 4gb edition and it's fine.
In the "About This Mac" section it should recognise the card as AMD Radeon HD 7xxx series card. It also recognises the 4Gb Ram on my card.
If I remember correctly from somewhere is that the R9 270 card is basically a remodelled version of the HD7000 series card, which is why this trick works.
If this fix is known already then no worries. If there are any problems I'm sorry but I don't know much else. Double check your settings and if there is still no fix than I hope you find one.. The only other card I got working was a Club Radeon Slim HD4000 series type card but all that needed was "inject ATI" on El Capitan.
Regards
When you load Clover bootloader go into "Settings" and then "Graphics"
- In the FBName or Framebuffer name enter - Radeon
- Then in the Fake ID above enter - 0x68101002
- Make sure "inject ATI" is checked
