There is an amazing amount of information here but for the life of me I cant figure out where I am going wrong with my setup. I have gone through this thread for days and tried almost everything that was appropriate.

I have seen my setup on a Gigabyte B540, Ryzen 7 3700XT, with a PowerCooler RX570 do over 150fps average in handbrake on a 1080p60 h.264 encode,

So i decided to "Upgrade" to a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro WiFI, the Ryzen 7 3700XT and, a Sapphire RX 5500XT to eek a out a bit more performance, but the best I can get on this machine is about 60fps average! This totally sucks.

I would be grateful if I could get some assistance here to help figure out what is going on.

Attached are the bits and pieces of info that I think might be relevant.

Device path for GPU is PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x3,0x1)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) from Hackintool.

Not really sure what else would be helpful to troubleshoot this problem.

A couple of weeks ago I got my hands on a new Navi GPU, The Sapphire RX 5500 XT 4 GB, everything was working but the performance was not there, everyone said it is on pair with the good old RX 580.

Depends on if you are using Geekbench 4 or 5. The scores are quite different between the two versions.

His are GB 4 scores, your's are normal for GB 5.

Thanks for this awesome SSDT, it improved my 5700xt performance by at least 50%!

Although it's being very stable, I'm having random green screen issues after updating my SSDTs (happened twice this week).

(Opencore 0.6.0 - Catalina 10.15.6).

I try this SSDT for imac 19.1 and imac pro 1.1 smbios with RX 5700 XT , Geekbench 5 score rise up from 43k to 73k Metal, and thats all, everything else are left the same, final cut export are the same ,no matter with ssdt or not, i dont understand why we should use this ssdt ? for geekbench score?

Hello guys!
I just followed the guide and I got this results:

BEFORE DSDT:
GEEKBENCH5 openCL: 65695
--------------- METAL: 59653

AFTER:

GEEKBENCH5 openCL: 53519
--------------- METAL: 69039

with geekbench 4 OpenCL: 204177 (couldn't run metal cuz i'm running free version, and didn't tested it with GB4 before doing the guide)

Am I running my 5700xt with full performance?
Comparing with the old XFX rx580 i notice a plug and play performance increase, Like on Unigine Heaven I was only able to get 20/25 fps running on extreme, With 5700xt I'm getting like 60/70 fps same settings. But after doing the DSDT patch from this guide, looks like nothing changed on geekbench.

Was I running full power since always haha ?


PS:I can't get VGA information on HWmonitor and everywhere else with dAGPM. Is there any way to get VGA information like temperature, fans speed etc?

Is anyone using this on OpenCore with a Dual Boot setup. Ive been using this SSDT and Patch for a while with great performance improvements on my Gigabyte Radeon rx 5700XT 8GB OC. However, I recently made my system a dual boot Windows10 / macOS Catalina setup with OpenCore. I have discovered that with the SSDT-RX 5700 XT-Version 1.0.aml, my system immediately blue screens when I pick Windows10 from the OpenCore picker menu. MacOS is fine and works perfect. If I remove SSDT-RX 5700 XT-Version 1.0.aml and the relevant patch, then my system dual boots into MacOS and Windows from the OpenCore picker menu without any issues. It seems odd that this SSDT is causing this, even after having it amended to include the below. I was hoping there was a solution to this as it worked perfect when I wasn't dual booting my system.
