AMD Radeon Navi GPU

You have to manually ad the pikera string in clover options at every boot.

Or edit the config.plist in the pendrive to insert it.

thanks! I couldn't get it to work right in clover so I added it to config.plist and it works!

It's nice to know that everything is working!

For information purpose only, to manually ad any argument while booting in Clover follow this:
- In the drive selection screen in boot, navigate with the arrows keys to the further right, until you can access the options bellow the drives list
- Once there, choose the third option (the one with a gear icon)
- Navigate to the "Boot Args" choice, always using the arrows keys from your keyboard and pressing Enter to choose
- Press Enter to edit the arguments, then you include the desired arguments, end press enter to record it
- Use the ESC key to navigate back, and select the desired driv to boot.

I am using Sapphire's AMD 5700 XT Pulse. Sometimes in games (Heroes of the Storm and a number of others) I encounter a freeze (music remains, but the picture freezes or a black screen), after which the computer has to be rebooted.

This problem does not always occur, but it greatly interferes with playing.

What could be the problem and how to solve it?

macOS 10.15.2 (19C57)

Is there any particular reason for why you're still on 10.15.2? It might be placebo but the GPU performance of my RX 5700 seem to improve at every update. So I suggest you update to 10.15.4 and see if that solves the issue.

After upgrading to 10.15.4, I encountered such a problem. 5-15 minutes after turning on the OS, my computer freezes. The picture just freezes, and the mouse cursor moves only. Hanging is preceded by a looping sound from the speakers. I tried updating the kexts to the latest versions, but this does not help. What could be the reason?

    • Some clock values may fail to populate for a limited number of graphics products in the Radeon Settings Hardware information tab.
    • Hotkeys can no longer be assigned to a single digit or character as this has the ability to block or cause interference with some default Windows® functionality.
    • Some Radeon FreeSync Premium supported displays may not list all supported refresh rate options in Windows® when Radeon FreeSync Premium is enabled in the displays OSD settings.

I am encountering similar issues with my VII, where the system will freeze occasionally (though might be hours after turning on) and I have to force reboot.

Occasionally the system will recover from the freeze after about a minute, sometimes two.

It is very strange. On macOS 10.15.2 I did not have such a problem.

Today I worked all day (more than 8 hours) on macOS 10.15.2 and did not have such a problem.

Yes, some days I don't have problems. What clover version are you using?

My 5700 XT Pulse graphics card sometimes freezes after turning on the computer, after about 5 minutes. The cursor continues to move, but a looping sound is heard from the speakers, and the picture on the screen does not change. Has anyone come across?

This started after upgrading to macOS 10.15.4. On 10.15.2 I did not observe such a problem.
