Wonder what those raised screws are on the back? Compressions Screws? Hmmmm seem to be surrounding the graphics core....could be for attaching a water cooler of some sort? :geek:

Compressions Screws! Screws with a spring to increase that pressure of the cooler on the GPU. Most cooler are getting better results by that and so it's kind of a standard for high performance CPU/GPUs now.

That's out of my price range. :( Mid range graphics cards under $200 for me! This certainly fits the wish list criteria, though.

I wonder why the Radeaon HD 7950 Mac Edition has Crossfire connection,......?

I guess that means there will be Crossfire support,....... ;)

So if Apple decided not to make a 7970 option, would that mean users would have to choose one of these 7950s as a stock option and add in a 7970 later? (Of course, the boot screen would only show up on the 7950 until it got to the login screen and detected the other card.)

Or are there not enough power connectors for that in a Mac Pro?
