This is a project Ive wanted to do for some time, yes, the iMac mod has been put on hold... again, budget!. And as I had a G5 case just lying around empty, I thought it would make a good home for my budget AMD build. As you can see it's naked!, I've started off really simple, (it's happily sat at 34 C and has done for the past day). No fan guards, no tray, no PSU housing and no fiddly shelf to worry about. I'm going to 3D print the missing bits starting off with the [WIP] rear fan guard. Suggestions welcome.

Connecting the Front Panel Cables was easy and accessible, front USB 2 port seems a little patchy. I do have the LED and power button working. Strangely you wont find this diagram for F_PANEL in the A320I-K manual.

One of the projects for the AM4G5 I have been eager to get done is the rear fan mounting. I found one on Thingiverse and modded it to fit my G5, one of the slots on the side was in the wrong place. Idling in the lower 30s, before it was in the 40s.

That is one "large" PSU you've got in there. How many watts ? It's almost as big as the mobo.

500W. I was looking for something more compact, not so tall, but this was lying around rent free. The bottom shelf is the next project, hide and manage those cables. Have you seen the back of an Nintendo Switch Dock?.
