Alternative to GTX 1060 SSC 6GB for High Sierra?

Okay, so I rolled the dice and bought based on the Sierra customac pro suggestions.

The Nvidia driver situation seems like a boondoggle that could take some time to sort out.

Are there any known working cards with similar specs (or better) to the GTX 1060 that will work with High Sierra?

For clarity, here's the rest of my build:

Here's my specs:
* GIGABYTE Z270X-UD5 1151
* Intel I7-7700K
* EVGA GTX 1060 SSC 6GB
* SAMSUNG 960 EVO M.2 500GB NVMe

I have a GTX 1060, and, yes, Nvidia is a PITA; except for the wake-up from sleep total screen scrambling, it's a good card.

Without knowing what's driving your requirements for recommending a graphics card, I would research using a RX 580. The bad news about the 580 is that it a favorite of these so called miners, and the cost has been driven up to 2x the MSRP of $229. I'm looking at the Sapphire RX 580 Pulse 6GB graphics card as that's the card that Apple is using in its eGPU product.

Thanks for the quick response.

So here’s my deal, building a Hackintosh mostly so my son has a pc for gaming (nothing too extreme but it became clear a dual boot was the way to go).

So on pc side it’s gaming.

For me on Mac side a little bit of CAD, audio and video editing but I’m upgrading from an old Mac pro so I imagine any modern card will seem quick to me.

End of day, I’m willing to pay a premium for less driver hassle.

Still recommend the above card or something else?

Okay, couple of dumb questions:
1. What's the difference between the AMD Radeon RX 580 and The Sapphire Pulse RX 580?
2. Are there known working High Sierra installs with either of these cards?
3. Anyone wanna buy a GTX 1060 8gb SSC? (kidding . . . maybe)

Eightball8 - what did you end up doing / getting here? I have been living with the 1060 screen scrambling for about 6 months and, after finally updating to High Sierra on a new disk, and finding the issue is still there, am about to swap it for something else. Especially now that the 'put screen to sleep' solution no longer seems to work.
