Hey everyone,
I have purchased a new laptop that is more modern than the Elitebook 8770w I was using prior. I now have an Acer Nitro 5 Gaming laptop that I plan on dual booting Windows 10 and macOS 10.14. As the title shows, I almost have everything working on this system. Let me attach my hardware specs and what is/isn't working :

Intel Core i5-7300HQ (2.5Ghz-3.5Ghz)
Intel HM175 Chipset
Intel HD 630 Graphics and nVidia Geforce GTX 1050 Ti w/ 4GB GDDR5 VRAM
A-Data 8GB DDR4 2133Mhz RAM
Intel 256GB NVMe 600P PCI-E SSD (Windows)
Seagate 480GB SATA III SSD (macOS)
Windows Trackpad using I2C Bus (Synaptics Based Pad)
Broadcom BCM943602BAED Wireless AC + BT 4.1 NGFF Card (Dell DW1830) (On order, using older BCM94360CS2)
Realtek 8111 Based Ethernet
Realtek High Definition Audio (ALC256 Codec)
Clover UEFI r4674 running macOS Mojave 10.14

Power Management: Working. Don't hear fans speeding up. Followed PM guide.
Sleep: Working. Used the _PRW DSDT patch 0x6D for Skylake.
Video: Working. Used latest Lilu/IntelGFXfixup and Prealloc Fixup. Full QE/CI/Res. Disabled nVidia Graphics w/ DSDT edit.
Audio: Working. Used layout-id 13 in conjunction with AppleALC kext's 1.2.8 version + CodecCommander.
NVMe: Working. Intel Drive is recognized by the system and can read/write to it but I'm using that drive for Windows.
KB/TP: KB is working w/ VoodooPS2 V2018-0922. TP is working with VoodooI2C V2.1.4 and disabling of Apple's I2C drivers.
WiFi: Working. Used AirportBRCMFixup.kext to resolve speed issues. Airdrop supported
Bluetooth: Working. Used BRCMPatchRAM2.kext and BRCMFirmwareRepo.kext to enable BT. Handoff/SMHS supported.
Ethernet: Working. Using the Realtek Ethernet kext.
Battery: Working. Used Rehabman's ACPIBatteryManager.kext
Brightness: Working. Used the Brightness patch from the AppleBacklightInjector.kext
Shutdown/Restart: Working.
USB: Working. Created an SSDT for USBInjectAll and ensured only ports installed are active.

Hi,
I have just bought an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-31 (i5-8250U, MX150, 12GB RAM).
How did you put the wifi card into the laptop? Is it a full sized card? I have only half size card place. Can you recommend a half sized wifi card? Can I install MacOS on it? What do you think? Thanks.
PS: What instruction should I follow? I followed this, when I installed MacOS on my HP8470P: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-hp-probook-elitebook-zbook-using-clover-uefi-hotpatch.232948/
Your laptop (in your profile) has half mini PCIe WiFi.
Recommendation (BCM943252HMB) is in the Probook guide.

If your profile is inaccurate, please fix as per FAQ. Because I just notice your post regarding an HP laptop seems rather off-topic in a thread for "Acer Nitro 5".

Well the 8470p like Rehabman said uses a PCI-E half height card so the BCM94532HMB would fit it perfectly. But the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-31 uses a NGFF connector. It has smaller antenna connections so the regular half height PCI-E connectors will not work and it will physically not go in the slot. You can either get the same card I have with an adapter to make the larger cards fit, or you can buy a card that is meant for that slot. The adapter I got is: BCM94360CS2 Wireless Card and the NGFF M.2 Key A/E Adapter. This one like the card that was originally installed on the Acer uses 2 antennas.

The one that is available and uses the native small form factor slot is the DW1830 Wireless-AC BCM943602BAED (Dell P/N HHKJD). This one will fit the slot and is the same size, but it does have 3 antenna connectors so you will need to get another antenna for the third connector. Keep in mind, the card I have has a connection speed of 450Mbps and the DW1830 has 1.3Ghz speeds.

I will eventually upgrade to that one soon enough, but the one I have is working fine as is. You can install macOS on it, but bare in mind it will take some work. Disabling the nVidia GPU, and other things/research will be required. What I had to do for my laptop may not necessarily completely be the same for you due to hardware differences. Best place to start would be the clover guide for laptops and the various guides for laptops here. Hope this helps.

A potential problem is that @csabe812 may have forgot to update his/her profile to accurately reflect hardware details.

Gotmilk70,
I have the same laptop as you do, the Acer Nitro 5, the same specs. I have trouble even to get the boot screen up though. First, it said the version of Mac OS is not supported on this platform, and then I added -no_compat_check line. But then it just stop there. Would you please enlighten me on how you did?

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-support/164990-faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Although you should read the FAQ for an overview of issues, the Clover guide is linked from the first question: "Q. Where do I start?", just after the bold face "Clover Guide".
Here is a direct link, just to be clear:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, your profile must be filled out with complete details as requested in the FAQ, again under "Q. Where do I start?". All seven details requested are equally important.

And if you have an issue (after following the guide), or on any other problem, you must provide a detailed description of the problem including information that helps us understand what you're doing. Always attach "Problem Reporting" files as per FAQ.
http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capitan-laptop-support/164990-faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html
The required files and data are fully detailed in the last question in the FAQ:
"Q. What are typical "Problem Reporting" files?"
