This thread is for discussing, sharing (ideas, solutions, problems...) regarding Probooks 6x70b series (our Elite series clones are welcome too). I will try to keep this first post updated with all the informative discoveries.


AppleHDA
We have finally achieved audio parity with our 4x40s brothers, meaning the LineIn is finally functional.

Wi-Fi supported wifi cards on 10.9 and our experience (share yours), informative link
- AR5B93 (ar9283) b/g/n 150 Мb/s, really cheap card and functions well if you do not need 5 GHz (kpkp).

Max DP resolution:
"Supports up to 2560 x 1600, 30-bit color depth at 60 Hz".

Display Brightness
There are 2 great solutions to enable full range of brightness:
-OS-X-ACPI-Backlight (not vanilla, enables smooth transitions)
-AppleBacklight.kext (simpler, vanilla)


DSDT
MaciASL (best DSDT tool I came across).

UEFI Boot
Due to good UEFI support in 6x70b/8x70p, we can take advantage of Clover UEFI Bootloader, check out my guide here:

Nice to see we have a thread continuing what we left at old thread.

WIFI + Bluetooth: Our laptops don't have whitelist so we can get any half-mini wifi card. Philip_Petev has deceloped a networking injector kext that can inject both wifi card and bluetooth in our system without dsdt patches. Atheros 9285 + Broadcom 4322x + Broadcom Bluetooth USB are supported.

Brightness: the display brightness levels are dimmed at first, we need a display sleep/on to get brighter display. RehabMan's blinkscreen is temporary solution.

Regarding the audio, I have two questions:
1. Are these the same layout files that are already included in the Installer or these are newer?
2. Have you made any edits of the PostConstructionInitialization key in Info.plist or the edits are only of HDAConfigDefault key?

They are new, basically they are the same as the 4x40s, just with our codec ID.
So the Platforms.xml.zlib is exactly the same as 4x40s, layout12.xml.zlib & Info.plist are the same as 4x40s, just with 287143429 instead of 287143641 in the codec-id definition.

So I could replace my injector (BCM20702A0_injector) with Philip_Petevs (ProBookARPT). And by doing that enable some other Wi-Fi cards. Consider it done.
BTW what card do you use and what's your experience with it?

The ideal solution would be if we could access the full range of the brightness scale, because before the screen sleeps we have access lowest brightness setting and x amount of higher levels, after the display sleeps we have access to the highest brightness setting and x amount of lower levels, but we can never access the full range. Any suggestions or ideas?

I'm waiting for my AR9280 arrive. I'm using USB wifi temporarily.

The PostConstructionInitialization is not necessary, which is why my patches just remove it.
 
I have installed Mavericks on this model But when isntalling done, it requires restart. After restarting, I stuck with white Screen With Apple Logo. It doesnt go through n loading.
I am at step 4 to 5 of this guid:
