when you are in terminal and the folder where your kexts are:

sudo cp -R KextToInstall.kext /Library/Extensions

you need to install FakeSMC.kext and all other kexts you need to your system

all kexts should be installed to system, it has been this way for quite some time

/L/E preferred over /S/L/E.
Also make sure config.plist/SystemParameters/InjectKexts="Detect" and config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/ForceKextsToLoad is NOT being used.
