ALC889A not working [Solved]

Okay. No luck.

Kexts.com Voodoo either don't work or kernel panic.

Had to -x Safemode to get back in and remove them.

Tried the LegacyHDA'd for 10.6 from InsanelyMac all different pin combo's.
Even tried them again with tony's Applehda from snowleopard.zip rather than Applehda from combo update.

UD6 flashed with F7.
Retail DVD installed via custom UD6 bootcd.
AZAL replaced with HDEF thanks to Tony.
HDAENABLER not used at all as it states at above forum that if AZAL has been removed from DSDT then there is no need to use it.

When using LEGACY kexts should I remove APPLEHDA from /sys/lib/ext all together?

Or does someone know of a compatible USB audio device for SL?

Don't want to throw in the towel but after 3 days I'm tempted.

APPLEHDA 1.7.blah.blah should be installed after 10.6.2 Combo Update.

I got the same problem even apply the driver.

GA-P55A-UD3 Rev 1.0 Bios F5

After apply
Audio (Built-in)
Only Device ID 0x1458A002
Audio ID: 887
But no avaliable devices.

You need to install BIOS version F7 or it won't work.

Ok, I've updated my bios to F7, I checked if I had the AppleHDA, that was missing somehow, and I now have it. I installed everything as tonymac said and I still don't have sound.
Can somebody tell me what's wrong or at least tell me how to install VoodooHDA? I can't seem to make it work.

Did you install 10.6.2?
And rebuild the permissions once you've installed all the kexts?

Also, have you double checked the codec on your board? As I can't see you mentioning any specs. There are boards with the 889A and 889, so double check which one you have.
