Hi,

I'm using drivers from MultiBeast for ALC889 and they work okay (the notification sounds are usually delayed by a second or so), but its spamming my console with:

kernel[0]: Sound assertion in AppleHDAController at line 8088

...couple of times every minute!

Are there better drivers available or a way to fix it? Ofcourse, I've searched before posting but couldn't find a solution.

Many Thanks!

Not enough information.

Ok, I installed Patched AppleHDA using MultiBeast cause I already use DSDT for my motherboard (Z68XP-UD3R) from Tony's DSDT Database.

Audio works but the delay is sometimes annoying but especially these sound assertion errors:

Is there any other information I should provide that might help you in determining the issue?

thanks!

Is there S/L/E/ALC8xxHDA.kext or HDAEnabler... installed? Reply with a copy of IOReg. [Guide] How to Make a Copy of IOReg

Since I don't have xcode installed (will take me a day on slow connection!) can I use DSDTSE?

Use the IOReg link above. You don't have to install Xcode. DSDTSE is fine but read the link.

I downloaded and copied to the Applications, on running it just runs the beach ball spinner endlessly.

Ah Sorry, didn't see you attached the working version.

Please find oreg attached.
