I have a ProBook 4530s Core i3 500GB Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with a used atheros wifi mini. I have found that my hackintosh does not support some internet connections. I cannot connect to WPA or WPA2 passcodes. However, I have no problem with WEP passcodes. Anyone else have this issue?

Internet issues: I cannot find an available network, airport is on [yellow bubble] with no IP address, or the airport icon in upper menu displays an explanation point [!]. Is this a software or hardware issue? How can it be rectified?

I have got the exact same issue,
using Atheros AR9285

very interested in possible solutions to this problem!

My 4530s/AR9285 works fine connecting to my secured WiFi at home. Router is Linksys E4200 running "WPA2/WPA mixed mode" security.

How did you go about making your AR9285 WiFi work? Is it a fresh install using only the latest ProBook Installer (eg. just DSDT injection) or did you install a patched kext (not advised) to make it work?
