I guess some people don't want the stress, and chose to pay a lot more for something that works out of the box

The real kicker on this one... it NEEDS a PCI-Express slot.

Yes. I built mine that way but this time I want a BCM94322MC airport extreme. It is somewhat more expensive than the BCM94321MC?
