I have a ga-z87n-wifi running with an i5-4690k running 10.9.5 and I am having problems getting airplay mirroring to work. I am brand new to building a hackintosh but so far have had an easy time getting everything working except for this (and iMessage, but I want to resolve that after I get airplay mirroring working). When I enable mirroring I get audio but no video, usually a black screen for about 30 seconds and then after a while it might show a still of my screen. In addition to this I also can't get airparrot to work (it connects but is slow and choppy).

The apple tv is connected to a 5ghz wireless N network, with very good signal, and my machine is connected via ethernet from a powerline ethernet adapter. I tested the adapter with an older macbook pro using airparrot and that worked smoothly so I don't think the powerline adapter is the issue.

Does anyone have any ideas? I followed the guide http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...ete-graphics-working-together.html#post784770 but ignored anything about discrete graphics because I am only using the integrated graphics (intel hd 4600) right now.

Thanks for helping out a newbie!

I am getting exactly what you described below when trying to get Airplay mirroring to work. Would be great if someone could chime in and give is any suggestions on a possible fix.

"When I enable mirroring I get audio but no video, usually a black screen for about 30 seconds and then after a while it might show a still of my screen".

First, let me commend you on a very well done first post! You have all the particulars listed and are able to describe you problem in clear detail!

Second, when you want to get around to fixing iMessage the definitive post to read is: http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/110471-how-fix-imessage.htm . It's only been viewed 393 thousand times!

As far as AirPlay Mirroring goes try this post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...mary-display-airplay-mirroring-mavericks.html

Good luck!
